European Bureau for Lesser-Used Languages

The European Bureau for Lesser Used Languages ​​(European Bureau for Lesser - Used Languages ​​- EBLUL ) was a non-governmental organization which campaigned for regional and minority languages ​​in Europe. EBLUL was founded in 1982. On January 27, 2010, the Board decided its dissolution, as the financing of such an organization the present circumstances was not appropriate. Chairman of the German EBLUL offshoot is the Saterfriese Karl -Peter Schramm. The East Frisian Cornelia Nath also sits on the board of EBLUL. The affected languages ​​in Germany are Danish, the North and Sater Frisian, Upper Sorbian, Lower Sorbian, Romany, and Low German. Chairman of the Danish offshoot is the German Nordschleswiger Gösta Toft. German is the only language concerned in Denmark.
