European Federalist Party

The European Federalist Party (Brief description: EFP) is a political party which is active throughout Europe. It aims at a federal European state. The party was founded on November 6, 2011 from the merger of the French party Parti fédéraliste (PF ) and the pan- European network Europe United. The PF took in 1999 and 2004 in the European elections in France in part. The EFP is planning the Europe-wide participation in the European elections of 2014. Currently, there are state parties ( Chapters ) or contact points in 13 European countries as well as a chapter in Asia. The party sought official recognition as a political party at European level.

History

Parti fédéraliste

The Parti fédéraliste was founded in 1995 by Jean -Philippe Allenbach. She represented federalist positions in European politics. She went first to 1998 regional elections, reaching in some regions up to 3.87%. In 2004, she competed in four regions. 2010 we went to only in Haute -Normandie. In the European elections of 1999 it reached 0.1%. At the 2004 European elections, the party went to the country and the results achieved between 0.01 % and 0.04 %. 2009, there were lists of PF for the European election of candidates with different nationalities from all over Europe. The lists were rejected because according to the Elections Office considers that the necessary documents were not submitted in time. In the national parliamentary elections in 2002 came to 93 candidates of the PF.

United Europe

Europe United - The European Party ( in Germany: United Europe ) was founded on 15 April 2005 from living in Denmark Finn Aki Paasovaara after the European Constitution was rejected in referendums in France and the Netherlands. In September 2005, the party was registered in Denmark as a political union. 2006, the group United for Europe by Pietro De Matteis the Association concurred. In summer 2008, the first national chapter of the party was founded in Germany. The party wanted to compete with five candidates in the whole of Europe for the European elections in 2009, but could not run after all.

Fusion

At a meeting on November 6, 2011 in Paris, the EFP was founded. Co-Chairs were Yves Gernigon and Pietro De Matteis. Both were at the meeting on 3/4 November 2012 in Rome confirmed in office. In the parliamentary elections in France in 2012 came to 15 candidates for the Parti fédéraliste Européen.

On May 17, 2012, the Dutch Chapter, founded the British Chapter of the EFP on 2 December 2012. The German chapter was founded on October 5, 2013 as the party.

European elections 2014

In France, the EFP occurs in all constituencies. In Italy, the EFP involved in the liberal coalition Scelta Europe. The Greek Chapter collaborates with the party Drasi. In Portugal, the EFP among other things involved with the Partido Democrático do Atlântico on electoral alliance A Nossa Europe. In Belgium, the EFP occurs in conjunction with stand up for the United States of Europe. In Austria Bengt Beier occurs on the list of party NEOS. In Germany, the organization was supported voice for Europe, but the necessary Untersützungsunterschriften could not collect.
