European Geosciences Union

The European Geosciences Union ( EGU) is an interdisciplinary scientific society for researchers who work in geophysics and related fields.

The aim of the EGU are promoting

  • Of Geosciences and
  • Cooperation between the scientists.

The EGU was formed on September 7, 2002 by the merger of the European Geophysical Society ( EGS ) and the European Union of Geosciences ( EUG).

The Union publishes several scientific journals and has been instrumental in the introduction of online and open access journals.
