The European Route 751 (abbreviated E 751 ) is a European route that connects the Istrian peninsula with Slovenia. The E 751 takes place after the Istrian Ypsilon.

Course

It starts east of Rijeka at the motorway junction Matulji / Opatija from A7 (E 61 and E 65 ) with the A8. It leads in an easterly direction then in a tunnel under the Učka massif to Lupoglava and Cerovlje further Kanfanara where the E 751 at junction meets the A9.

The southern arm of the A 9 leads to Pula, while the northern arm over Višnjan, Mirna and Umag leads to the Croatian-Slovenian border. There, the E 751 then remains on the H 5, which eventually reached over saltpans and Izola, Koper on the Adriatic Sea. The e 751 is then signposted to the Italian border. There, the H5 goes into the Strada Statale 15 Via Flavia to Trieste.

History

Before removing the A8 and A9 in Croatia, the E 751 D 66 followed as a coastal road along the sea line to Istria.
