European Short Track Speed Skating Championships

The short-track speed skating European Championships are held annually since 1997. For men and women, there are four short-track single race as well as a 5000 m or 3000 m relay. In the individual competitions over 1500 m, 500 m, 1000 m and 3000 m, participants can earn points that will eventually be added to the all-around result. Organizer of the race is the International Skating Union ( ISU).

Rules

In the finals points are distributed as following:

The scores of two successive spaces are thus added to obtain the score for the rank, which is a position above them. In the Super Final over 3000 m only the best eight Shorttracker be approved by the addition of the points the previous three races each.

Successful athletes

Both Fabio Carta and Ewgenija Radanowa are in all five disciplines ( individual routes and multi-discipline ) in men and women respectively, the most successful athletes.
