European Team Chess Championship
The European Team Chess Championship is a chess countries struggle of European countries.
In 2011 took in 38 participating countries, the German team consisting of Arkady Naiditsch, Georg Meier, Daniel Fridman Jan Gustafsson and Rainer Buhmann after nine rounds of four chess boards gold before Azerbaijan and Hungary. It was the first gold medal of the German team at a country tournament since the Chess Olympiad 1939.
