Eusebio Oehl

Eusebio Oehl ( born December 5, 1827 in Lodi, † April 10, 1903 in Pavia ) was an Italian physiologist and histologist.

Life

Oehl studied until 1850 at the University of Pavia medicine. Between 1857 and 1858 he lived in Vienna, where he worked with Josef Hyrtl and Ernst Wilhelm von bridge. After his return to Pavia, he was a lecturer in 1858, 1860 and 1864 associate professor of histology and physiology.

Eusebio Oehl published a textbook of physiology and writings on the systematic microscopy histological preparations. In English-speaking bear discovered him fibrous chordae tendineae in the muscle of the mitral valve of the heart the name Oehl 's muscles.
