Evan Michael Longoria ( born October 7, 1985 in Downey, California, United States) is an American baseball player in the Tampa Bay Rays of the U.S. professional league MLB. Longoria was committed in the MLB Draft, 2006 by Tampa Bay, made his debut in 2008, playing there on the third base.

Longoria won the 2008 "Rookie of the Year" Award from the American League. He is considered one of the best runs batted In -hitter of the League: he needed only 135 games to hit his 100th teammates home, which is still under active players, the third lowest number.
