Evanivaldo Castro

Evanivaldo Castro Silva ( born April 28, 1948 in Salvador ) is a former football player from Brazil, who celebrated his greatest successes in Mexico, where he was División eight times top scorer in the Primera. He was also known by his nickname " Cabinho " ( sergeant ), he had received because of his fondness for military Tarnklamotten.

Career

Cabinho met on 19 July 1974 at the age of 26 in Mexico and brought it in his first season there on a total of 16 results. Although he remained 1974/75 still below potential, but has already delivered a foretaste of the coming years. For in the seven seasons from 1975/76 bis 1981/82 he was seven times in a row, scorer of the first division of Mexico: in the first four seasons with the jersey of the UNAM Pumas and then in the dress of the CF Atlante, both clubs from Mexico City. In his "worst" season within these seven years, he brought it to "only" 26 goals - and the top scorer had to share with his teammate Hugo Sánchez, who at that time ( 1978/79 ) also stood by the Pumas under contract. In the other six seasons, he never scored less than 29 goals and 1976/77 he even on 34 results. Overall, he scored only in these seven seasons 213 gates, which corresponds to an annual average of 30.4 hits.

Later he played for Club León, in whose ranks he with 23 goals was again top scorer of the highest Mexican League 1984/85, as well as for UANL Tigres.

Throughout his active career in Mexico Castro completed 415 games in which he scored 312 goals. This corresponds to an average of 0.75 per game scoring. A truly impressive record of the striker, who was as likely as any other top scorer of Mexico.
