Evaristo Carriego

Evaristo Carriego ( born May 7, 1883 in Paraná ( Entre Ríos ), † October 13, 1912 in Buenos Aires ) was an Argentine journalist and writer.

About Local knowledge is not learned Carriego by his own literary works but by Jorge Luis Borges, who wrote a biography of him. Astor Piazzolla in María de Buenos Aires ( 1968) does him honor with a "Milonga carrieguera ". Even the composer Eduardo Rovira contributed to the fame Carriegos when he composed a tango entitled " Evaristo Carrigo " and today is one of the evergreens.

Carriego died at the age of 29 years on 13 October 1912 in Buenos Aires and found in the cemetery of Chacarita his final resting place.
