Eve Beglarian

Eve Belgarian ( born July 22, 1958 in Ann Arbor ) is an American composer, performer and audio producer.

The daughter of composer Grant Belgarian studied at Princeton University and Columbia University. She has received commissions for chamber music choral and orchestral works, among others by The Los Angeles Master Chorale, the American Composers Orchestra, Bang on a Can All-Stars, the Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center, the California EAR Unit, the Orchestra of St. Luke's, the Paul Dresher Ensemble and musicians such as Maya Beiser, Lauren Flanigan, Sarah Cahill, and Marya Martin.

In the field of musical theater, she worked with Lee Breuer ( Mabou Mines ' Dollhouse, Animal Magnetism, Ecco Porco and Choephorai ), Grethe Barrett Holby ( Hildegurls ' Ordo Virtutum ), Kathleen Supové and Chen Shi- Zheng together. With the latter, they realized Forgiveness ( with the no- master Akira Matsui ) and the China National Peking Opera, the performance of The Bacchae.

In the field of dance theater were her partner Victoria Marks, Ann Carlson, Susan Marshall and David Neumann, in the field of visual and video art Shirin Neshat, Cory Arcangel, Kevork Mourad, Vittoria Clergymen, Barbara Hammer and Judson Wright. Furthermore, she has worked among others on an opera based on Stephen King's The Man in the Black Suit ( with Grethe Barrett Holby ), a song cycle CD with Phil Kline and the A Book of Days, a project with 365 audiovisual works for the live performance and the Internet.
