Malcolm Holzman

Malcolm Holzman ( born 1940 in Newark, New Jersey, USA) is an American architect, best known as co-owner of Hardy Holzman Pfeiffer offices by numerous theaters and cultural centers in the United States.

Life

Holzman studied architecture and sculpture at the Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, New York City, which he left in 1963 with a Bachelor of Architecture. In 1964 he collaborated with Hugh Hardy.

In 1967, he was with Hardy and Norman Pfeiffer co-founder of the firm Hardy Holzman Pfeiffer. Hardy Holzman Pfeiffer soon became the leading architecture firm for new construction and renovation of theaters and concert halls in the United States.

2004 separated the three partners. Holzman founded with parts of the workforce office Holzmann Moss Bottino Architecture.

Honors

Holzman is a Fellow of the American Institute of Architects (AIA ).

Hardy Holzman Pfeiffer The office received the 1981 Architecture Firm Award from the AIA, considered the highest honor for architecture firms in the United States.
