Evel Rabbati

Ebel Rabbati (Hebrew אבל רבתי, German about: the great [ treatise ] on the mourning) is a so-called ausserkanonischer tractate of the Babylonian Talmud, and is usually printed in its annex behind the order Neziqin.

He was born in the period after about 300 AD and describes in 14 chapters Halachos and customs against the dying, suicide and executed, mourning and burial customs, interspersed with lots of example stories.

Euphemistically this treatise is ( in Rashi and others) also Semachot ( " joy " ) called.
