Evelyn Matthei

Evelyn Rose Matthei Fornet ( born November 11, 1953 in Santiago de Chile) is a Chilean economist and politician (UDI ). Under President Sebastián Piñera she was until July 2013 Minister of Labour and Social Affairs. In November 2013, it went to the Alianza por Chile coalition in the presidential election in Chile in 2013, reaching approximately 25 percent of the vote, the runoff election in December. In the runoff Matthei subject to the already 2006 to 2010 ruling Michelle Bachelet, who was able to win with 62.2 percent of the vote.
