Evelyn Matz

Pretty Evelyn, nee Matz ( born November 22, 1955 in Berlin) is a former German handball player.

Your club in the GDR Oberliga Berlin was the TSC, with the 1.76 meter tall and weighing 70 kilograms player in 1977 and 1979 won the European Cup Winners' Cup and 1978 European Cup of Champions.

With the GDR selection, she won the bronze medal at the 1976 Olympic Games in Montreal and silver at the 1980 Olympic Games in Moscow. 1975 and 1978, she was with this team world champion, also at the World Championships in 1982 and 1986, she was in the squad of the GDR. She was awarded several times with the Patriotic Order of Merit. In 1984 she was awarded the medal in silver.

She denied 270 internationals.

She was married and has two children.
