The Nacktbasidien ( Exobasidium ) is a fungal genus in the family Nacktbasidienverwandten ( Exobasidiaceae ).

Features

Macroscopic characteristics

Nacktbasidien are parasites on ericaceous ( Ericaceae ). Some species parasitize leaves, shoots and other some years the entire plant (systemic infection). Infected leaves and shoots are often inflated vesicular or colored misshapen and pale or mostly red.

Microscopic characteristics
