Ezequiel Calvente Criado called Ezequiel (born 12 January 1991 Melilla), is a Spanish footballer. It is used primarily as a midfielder on the wing.

Ezequiel played in his youth for the Granada CF before joining with eleven years in the youth department of Betis Sevilla after it was discovered at a championship in Seville. In the summer of 2009 he made ​​the jump to the second team and a year later he was part of the first team squad. On August 29, 2010, being the first matchday of the 2010/11 season, he debuted as a professional when he was in the home game against his former club FC Granada ( 4:1 ) was substituted at half -time break for Juan Pablo Caffa. After promotion to the Primera División, however, in 2012, he was only a reserve player. He was loaned out in January 2012 to the end of season 2011/12 to the second division CE Sabadell, where he regularly came into use again. After his return in the summer of 2012 he got from the Betis permission to look for another club.

Then he denied the German Bundesliga Borussia Moenchengladbach a trial, but could not convince and was not obliged. End of July 2012 began Ezequiel a trial with German Bundesliga side SC Freiburg and was shortly afterwards borrowed for one year until the end of season 2012/13.

National

Ezequiel has played since the U-19 for all youth national teams of the Spanish Football Federation. In the summer of 2010 he took part in the U-19 European Championship in France, and failed only in the final on hosts. In the summer of 2011 he took part with the U- 20 at the World Cup in Colombia, where he failed with the team in the quarterfinals on Brazil.
