Playing career

The beginnings

Daniel Cifuentes began his career as a footballer in the Segunda División B in Zamora. He played two years regularly in defense. In order to gain more match practice, he went for the 2003/ 04 season also for third-class UD Lanzarote. There he was able to recommend Eibar as starting player for a commitment to the Basque second division side SD. With Eibar he stood at the end of the season in 4th place and missed so just the climb. The three climbers were missing at the end of three points.

The last years

In 2005, the first division side Real Sociedad decided to oblige him. In his first season he was at least still on 13 missions, but in the 2006/07 season he played only one more time. For this reason, he was loaned for the second round of the second division side SD Ponferradina. This year was doubly bitter for Cifuentes, since both descended Real Sociedad, also Ponferradina in their leagues. In the summer of 2007, he therefore moved to Erstligaaufsteiger Real Valladolid. Since 2009, he plays in Segunda División B FC Cadiz.
