Ezra Laderman

Ezra Laderman ( born June 29, 1924 in Brooklyn, New York) is an American composer. 1946-1949 He studied with Stefan Wolpe and at Brooklyn College with Miriam Gideon. He continued his education at Columbia University continues (MA 1952). His teachers there were, inter alia, Otto Luening and Douglas Moore. The work loader Mans includes 10 operas, numerous other stage music, music for film and television, orchestral music - including 8 symphonies and several concertos - vocal music and chamber music.

In 1991 Laderman was elected to the American Academy of Arts and Letters, in which he held the office of the President from 2006 to 2009.
