Ezriel Auerbach

Azriel Auerbach ( born 1938 in Jerusalem, Hebrew עזריאל אוירבך ) is an ultra-Orthodox rabbi and Posek. He is the son of Rabbi Shlomo Zalman Auerbach and son of Joseph Shalom Elyashiv; he is regarded as the right hand Elyashivs in matters of Halacha, Jewish law.

Auerbach was born in 1938 in the Jerusalem neighborhood Scha'arei Chesed and married 1960 Leah Elyashiv ( 1938-2010 ), the fifth daughter of Joseph Elyashivs; they have no descendants.

He is chairman of the ultra-Orthodox rabbinical charity Vaad harabbanim.
