Fabian Broghammer
Fabian Broghammer ( born January 14, 1990 in Heppenheim ) is a German footballer who plays for Bristol Rovers.
Career
Association
Youth
In youth Broghammer played for Germania Eberstadt, SC Viktoria Griesheim and to 2007 for Eintracht Frankfurt. Then he worked for TSG 1899 Hoffenheim in their youth teams, he spent two years and a further year in the second team of the club.
Entry into professional football
2009 saw Broghammer to the second team of VfB Stuttgart. His professional debut was Broghammer September 1, 2009, the seventh round of the 2009/10 season, for VfB II in the 3rd League against FC Bayern Munich II In the home defeat he scored the goal to 2:4 draw. It was his only goal for the Swabians, after 20 games in two years he left the VfB again.
On 10 August 2011, the SV Darmstadt 98 was the commitment Broghammers known. He made his debut October 14, 2011 against SpVgg Unterhaching, when he came on in the 86th minute for Preston Zimmerman. After only a further short stint in the first half of the season 2010/11 he moved again already the club.
Intermezzo in the Regional
Broghammers next stop was the third division FC Bayern Alzenau, who competed in the South Season. There he made his debut on 30 March 2012 in the game against Waldhof Mannheim in the grid, but had to be substituted in the 27th minute already. His first goal for the Lower Franconia, he scored 29 April 2012 in a 1-0 home win against the second team of Eintracht Frankfurt. After again only half a year left Broghammer again his club. Move to England
In August 2012, he moved to the Bristol Rovers, where he first completed a trial before known the club was on 12 August, to have Broghammer committed. He signed a one year contract with an option for a further year and was given the number 11 jersey, the coach of the Bristol Rovers, Mark McGhee, was made aware of Broghammer by his former HSV- teammate Felix Magath. On August 17 Bristol Rovers received international clearance for Broghammer, whereby the midfielder on August 18 could debut in the home game against Oxford United when he came on in the 50th minute for Joe Anyinsah. On September 8, 2012 in a 2-2 draw against Aldershot Town in the 90th minute he scored the goal the final score, and thus also his first goal for Bristol Rovers. In the 1-1 draw against Plymouth Argyle on 18 September, he played for the first time a game about the full 90 minutes. On 3 November, he played his first game in the FA Cup; the game in Memorial Stadium, was replaced in the Broghammer in the 74th minute for Eliot Richards, was lost with 1-2 against Sheffield United. His second goal of the season, he scored on 6 November in the 2:3 home defeat against Southend United. His third goal he scored in the 2-1 home win against FC Barnet when he met for the 1-0 lead. On 9 May 2013, the club was known to have Broghammer offered a new contract. On June 20, 2013 were announced on the part of the club to have extended the contract with Broghammer for another year.
In a friendly match on July 19 in 2013, of preparation for the 2013/14 season Broghammer suffered a tear of the anterior cruciate ligament and meniscus of. From club page is believed that he will turn nine months.
National
Broghammer debuted for the German U -17 's 1-1 draw against Portugal on February 18, 2007 in Lagos. He stood in the starting line-up and was replaced in the 64th minute for Marvin Knoll. His first goal for the U -17 he shot on 11 April 2007 in a 2-1 win over Luxembourg in Mensdorf. Broghammer was part of the German team that took part in the U- 17 World Cup in South Korea in 2007. In the first game of the preliminary round against Colombia on 20 August 2007, he appeared as a substitute in the 80th minute for Dennis Dowidat. His only Turniertor he scored 26 August 2007 in a 5-0 win over Trinidad and Tobago. Overall, he played five games of the World Cup, Germany finally finished in third place.
For the German U-18 he made his debut on 25 September 2007 in a 3-1 win against Rwanda in Emmelshausen when he came on in the 46th minute for Henning sour beer. Its for new face for the U -18 he gave on 11 March 2008 during the match against France in Stuttgart, which he played over the full 90 minutes. In three further appearances for the U-18, he managed not to score.
Broghammer came two appearances in the German U-19, for the first time on September 7, 2008 in the 5-0 win against the Czech Republic in Varnsdorf. His second mission was on 11 February 2009 in the match against Greece in Konzani.
Overall Broghammer played 17 matches for the youth teams of the DFB, in which he scored twice.
