Fabra Observatory

The Fabra Observatory ( Catalan: Fabra Observatory ) is an astronomical, seismological and meteorological observatory on Mount Tibidabo in Barcelona, Catalonia located at an altitude of 415 m above sea level.

The building was built by the architect Josep Domenech i Estapa and on 7 April 1904 in the presence of King Alfonso XIII. opened and belongs to the Reial Academia de Ciències i Arts de Barcelona. Its main activity are studies of asteroids and comets. It is the fourth oldest observatory in the world, which is still in operation.

The comet was discovered here 32P/Comas Solá 1926 by Josep Comas i Solà.
