Fabrik Heeder

The Krefeld factory Heede, a former wallpaper factory, houses several of the city of Krefeld cultural institutions.

History

The now Grade II listed building at the Virchowstraße 130 in Krefeld south was built in 1906. Originally a wallpaper factory Heede & Co. built the building, located in the direct line of sight to the central station, used as a municipal cultural center under the guidance of Culture offices since 1989.

Culture

The large factory unit with atrium, several exhibition spaces and stages provides space for a diverse cultural program. There images and photos are regularly exhibited and also in the North Rhine -Westphalian dance scene, the factory Heede has earned a reputation as a performance venue. However, the most famous events in the home are likely to be organized by Kresch, the children's and youth theater in the city of Krefeld. This has received a solid education, rehearsal and performance space in the former factory building.
