Falling Up (band)

Falling Up is an American Christian rock band. The name comes from the first song that Ribordy and Cox wrote together. Their style of music they call themselves " Pash - Rock", a combination of rock, rap, R & B, and Metal.

Band History

Jessy Ribordy and Tom Cox wrote her first song, as were new in high school. They met to play for fun together with friends. Through their friends from the band Kutless, which also comes from Albany, Oregon State, got her demo tape to the Tooth & Nail- owner Brandon Ebel.

Summer 2003 was the record deal with BEC Recordings, a Tooth & Nail sublabel, signed. On 24 February 2004 then the first album, which was called Crashings. Recorded with Aaron Sprinkle to Crashings sold 3,396 times in the first week, which was a new record in BEC. Until the end of 2004 went over 50,000 units over the counter. In the Christian rock charts of R & R the singles " Broken Heart ", " Escalates " reached, and "Bittersweet " Square 1

The second album Dawn Escapes appeared on 25 October 2005. The album was produced by Michael "Elvis" Baskette. Tom Cox left the band shortly after the album release.

September 12, 2006 Exit Lights came out. The remix album contained remixes of popular songs and the new song Islander. Along with Falling Up worked Tedd T ( Mute Math ), Jamie Moore, TobyMac, Randy Torres ( Project 86 ), Joseph A. Kisselburgh ( ex.Falling Up), Trevor McNevan ( Thousand Foot Krutch ) and Solomon Olds ( Family Force 5) on the album. Joeseph Kisselburgh left the band in late 2006 and devoted himself to his solo project, The End. On 2 December 2006, the band for the first time in Germany was to experience live. The concert took place during the Christmas Rock Night.

In the course of 2007, Micah and Adam left the band. October 2nd was the release date for the next album: Captiva. It was produced by Aaron Sprinkle again, who was already responsible for Crashings.

On January 20, 2010 announced Jessy Ribordy that the band would take a "permanent break ".

As of October 22, it was announced via MySpace and Twitter that a new album was planned. Another tour was excluded. Whereas all previous albums published by BEC Records, a subsidiary of Tooth & Nail Records, the new album was produced independently using the crowdfunding platform Kickstarter.com. On 28 June 2011, the album under the title Your Dark Sparkling Cometh was published and received mostly good reviews.

On April 11, 2012 published Falling Up a remix album titled Mnemos.
