Fandom

As a fandom (sometimes fandom ) is the totality of the fans of a certain phenomenon, referred to as a specific author, a film or a genre. The term is most often used especially for the fan bases of certain works from the fantasy or science fiction field.

Within the fandom, the underlying works are developed often fanciful. Often, numerous additional works entwine around the actual main factory and exchanged within the fandom. This fan fiction called minor works can be short stories, but can also accept a circumference achieved the main work or even exceeds them. When it comes to pictures in addition to works one speaks of fan art.

Shipper are fans that are specifically involved emotionally in love relationships of the main plant. Organized, larger gatherings of fans are called Convention.
