Fann Wong
Fann Woon Fong ( born January 27, 1971 in Singapore ) is a Singaporean actress, singer and model. She is known by her stage name Fann Wong.
In the Singapore Star Awards 1995 Fann became the first actress to have won both the "Best Actress " as well as " Best Newcomer" an award. After she was able to win another regional precipitations and had obtained by film and television productions notoriety, she was the first actress from Singapore that could make a career in Hollywood. She played in 2003, " Chon Lin" in the movie Shanghai Knights alongside Jackie Chan and Owen Wilson.
Life and career
Fann Wong heard with her family to the ethnic group of the Hakka, she has an older sister and a younger brother and sister. She attended the Temasek Secondary School, where they 1987 their GCE ' O' Level examination took off and the La Salle college of the Arts School. During her primary school years she worked as an actress and has appeared in several children's programs, the Singapore Broadcasting Corporation. At the age of 16, she won a beauty pageant the fashion magazine "Her World". Then began for them a successful career as a model in Singapore. Later she earned a degree in fashion merchandising of LIFS.
Your artist name it owes a misprint in a fashion magazine. It consists of their family name " Fann " and her mother " Wong". She explains it as follows.
" One day, when i was about 18, my picture Appeared on a magazine cover and They misspelled my name as ' Fann Wong '. I was really upset and threw a tantrum and Demanded the magazine did publish mother of apology in the next issue. "She stormed home and threw the offending magazine on the table to show fro. Before She Could lament, her mother, Wong Siew Toy, saw the name and Said delightedly: " Woon Fong, it is so sweet of you to do this! I am so happy you went to search lengths for me. "

" She rushed home and threw the magazine on the table, to show it to her mother. Before she could begin to complain, saw her mother, Wong Siew Toy, the name and said delighted: " Woon Fong, it's so sweet of you to do this! I am so glad that thou hast done for me. "
In 1993, Fann moved to Taiwan. Your first success came in a commercial for " Oil of Ulan " ( Oil of Olay ), which was broadcast in the southeast of Asia. The following year she was discovered by a TV producer from Singapore and was of this in the drama series Dreams Come True Used. Fann got more then starred in the television series The Challenger and Chronicle of Life.
Fann is furthermore active as a singer and has released several albums since 1996.
Fann is married to Malaysian actor Christopher Lee Meng Soon since 16 May 2009.
