Fannie Bloomfield Zeisler

Fannie Bloomfield Zeisler (* July 16, 1863 in Bielsko-Biala, Austrian Silesia, † August 20, 1927 in Chicago) was an Austrian- American pianist.

1867 her family emigrated to the United States, where they settled in Chicago. The family name was changed in 1870 by Blumenfeld in Bloomfield. Since about 1871, she was taught by Bernhard Ziehn in Chicago. 1877 Annetta Jessipowa heard that was on a tour of the USA, playing the child and recommended that they be sent as a pupil of Theodor Leschetizky. In 1878 she traveled back to Austria to study at Leschetizky. During the stay in Austria there also changed its traditional name to Bloomfield. 1883, she returned to Chicago. In 1884 she made ​​her debut in Chicago, 1885 in New York. 1885 she married also in Bielsko -born lawyer Sigmund Zeisler ( 1860-1931 ). In 1888 she returned to further education once again returned to Vienna to Leschetizky.
