Faraday Lectureship Prize

The Faraday lecture and the associated price ( Faraday Lectureship Prize ), short even called Faradayvorlesung, is an honor that is approximately awarded every three years by the British Society Royal Society of Chemistry for " extraordinary contributions to the physical or theoretical chemistry ".

The Faradayvorlesungen are named after Michael Faraday. The first was held in 1869, two years after Faraday's death, Jean -Baptiste Dumas. The prize is worth £ 5,000; the recipient receives a medal and a certificate. The winner also gives a public lecture in which he talks about his work.
