Course of the Farah Rud (English Farah )

The Farah Rud (name from the Persian ) is a river in western Afghanistan.

It rises on the southern slopes of the Band-e Bayan mountain range in the northeast of the province of Ghor. It flows in a southwesterly direction. In the upper and middle reaches of the river flows through the central Afghan highlands. In the lower reaches he leaves the mountains and flows through the desert landscape of the province of Farah.
