Fariborz Lachini

Fariborz Lachini ( born August 25, 1949 in Tehran, Iran ) is a musician.

Life

Fariborz Lachini makes music for more than three decades. In his twenties and immediately before the Islamic Revolution in Iran Lachini had already achieved success in the world of pop music by composing music for some of today's pop icons and music for children. Most types of music were banned after the revolution, so Lachini emigrated to France to study music and computer science.

Life in Europe and his studies at the "Université de Paris - Sorbonne " added Lachinis music a European touch to and influenced his style in that it evolved into a characteristic connection of a contemporary Persian and European style.

He even mastered the art of creating exotic middle eastern instruments selected. This put him immediately in a unique position when he entered the world of film music. The soundtrack for the Berlin Special Mention winner, Snake's Fang, is one example. Variety expresses: "The extraordinary music is an electronic version of traditional südpersischer percussion. The soundtrack is again the pace and signals of danger and action throughout the film. "

Lachini has his first solo album, Golden Autumn published in the early 1990s. As he crossed all barriers with his music, the album became the best-known album in the whole of Iran quickly. It made Lachini a household name and he became known as the master of the modern piano. A track from the album Golden Autumn 1 on the list of the best iTunes - a list of world classics, is thus shown that Lachini is one of the few non - Western artists that contributed to classical music.

Lachini worked on over a hundred film projects. He is regarded as the most innovative composing talent in the Middle East and has worked for internationally acclaimed Iranian filmmaker. One of his most recent works is Iraq's election for an Oscar in 2006, Requiem of Snow. Variety wrote about the soundtrack: " ... Fariborz Lachinis sad acoustic music leaves a poignant sound in the wake of pictures back. "

As more and more artistic Iranian films are represented at festivals around the globe, growing Lachinis reputation as a leading composer of memorable heartfelt melodies and film music that break through cultural boundaries.
