Farmers' market

Farmers' markets were, as opposed to weekly markets, traditional markets, where previously farmers actuated their businesses and obtain supplies of products for the next year. So was formerly the cattle (horses, cattle, etc.) are bought and sold.

Today, even produced food offered at farmers' markets stalls of farmers. They are in contrast to weekly markets generally charged by producers.

Farmers 'markets have now its own statutes and are usually usually done in the legal form of a registered association, for example, the Munich Farmer's Market Association and the Munich-based farmers' markets. They operate one or more sites by their rules.

The city of Munich has created also the appropriate platform in 1989. The Munich-based weekly markets have been expanded accordingly. This was first tried as a sample, but has firmly established itself in the coming years.

Once a year for Bavaria Herrsching am Ammersee by the Bavarian Farmers Association organized the farmers market conference instead. Currently, 2013, Josef Unglert and Siegfried vultures the chairman of the conference. The farmers' market conference has launched a lighthouse event, the Farmer's Market mile in life. This took place in 2010 in Munich for the first time. 2013, the first Farmer's Market mile was carried out in northern Bavaria in Nuremberg. Each about 100 stalls present the direct marketers offer the farmers. The Farmer's Market Miles each had attendance of 10,000 to 30,000 visitors, depending on weather conditions.
