Faro de Moncloa

The Faro de Moncloa ( Moncloa Tower ) is a 110 meter high radio tower at the Plaza de Moncloa in Madrid. It was built in 1992. Particularly striking is his eccentrically arranged viewing platform which is mounted at 90 meters height.

After a fire, 13 February 2005, within the present in the observation deck of the tower was closed Restaurants Windsor in August 2005 for safety to the public.

In January 2009, the Madrid City Council announced that the repair work would be the present cost estimates at around 4.5 million euros. In addition to the interior work and new meeting rooms have also a new lift installation and new safety equipment are provided. A date of the reopening has not yet been named.
