Fatburger

Fatburger is an American fast food restaurant chain, whose main product, a cooked meat preparation, bears the same name. The chain advertises with the slogan The Last Great Hamburger Stand Although it is fast food restaurants is the food freshly prepared. Usually, the guest pays when ordering and receive a number with which he can pick up the food. In some restaurants, the food is delivered to the table.

The former professional basketball player Magic Johnson was until 2003 one of the shareholders of the parent company.

History

Fatburger was founded by Lovie Yancey in Los Angeles, California, in 1952. The chain has long been home only in California until it spread in the late 1990s and in other U.S. states. The aim is to expand to 200 restaurants.

Word Meaning

The company wants the word " fat" ( engl. bold) more in the sense of "super" as a knowledge of "calorie bomb" understood.
