Fathi Shaqaqi

Fathi Schakaki (Arabic فتحي إبراهيم عبد العزيز الشقاقي, DMG Fathi Ibrāhīm ʿ Abd al - ʿ Azeez aš - Šaqāqī; Fatchi also Schkaki; * 1951 in the Gaza Strip; † 26 October 1995, Sliema, Malta) was a Palestinian doctor from Rafah and a the founder of the " Islamic Jihad " ( PIJ ).

Schakaki was shot on 26 October 1995 in front of a hotel in Malta. The assassination was carried out by the Israeli intelligence agency Mossad. His position as Secretary General of the PIJ was acquired by Ramadan Shallah.
