Fausta Morganti

Fausta Simona Morganti ( born August 20, 1944) is a politician sanmarinesische. In the summer 2005 period ( April 1 to September 30 ), she was Capitano Reggente (together with Cesare Gasperoni ).

From 1978 to 1992 she was a member of the Congresso di Stato (Government) and is responsible for education, justice, culture and higher education. During her tenure she helped set up the International Academy of Sciences and the Università degli Studi di San Marino, undertook reforms of the school system and supported cultural initiatives in San Marino.

Since 1974, since the introduction of the passive female suffrage on the list of the Communist Party of San Marino, she was a member of the Consiglio Grande e Generale ( Parliament). In the elections of 2006, she was not re-elected. From 1974 to 1990 she was a member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party.

She was a member of the delegation of the Consiglio Grande e Generale at the OECD.

Fausta Morganti has a degree in philology and was a teacher at the secondary school ( scuola superiore ) of San Marino.
