The Iranian king Reza Shah sought Fausia from among several candidates for his son as a future wife. After their arrival in Iran, the wedding ceremony in Tehran was repeated after Shiite rite. The nationality of Fausia however, presented a constitutional problem dar. According to the Iranian Constitution, the Shah of Iran by Iranian parents had descended. This meant that Fausia the Iranian nationality had to be awarded when her future son Shah of Iran should be. On 29 November 1939, the Iranian Parliament passed a law with the Fausia was declared the " Iranian woman with Iranian origin ."

After the forced abdication of his father by the British Reza Shah Mohammad Reza Shah Pahlavi so second dynasty in the Parliament ( Majlis ) has on 17 September 1941 as King and sworn. As the wife of Mohammad Reza Shah Fausia was associated with Queen.

The marriage was arranged by the fathers granted no luck; especially no male heir was born. In June 1945 Fausia left the Shah and returned to Egypt. Officially, their marriage ended in divorce on 19 November 1948. From this marriage the daughter Shahnaz comes ( born October 27, 1940).

On March 28, 1949 Fausia married the Egyptian Minister Ismail Hussain Shirin ( 1919-1994 ). She wore from this date the name Fawzia Shirin and lived with her husband near Cairo. With him she had two more children, Nadia ( born 1950 ) and Muhammed ( b. 1955 ).
