FC Concordia Wilhelmsruh

FC Concordia Wilhelmsruh 1895 is a German football club from Berlin. Homestead of the club is the Northrend Arena, which offers 4000 spectators.

Association

FC Concordia Wilhelmsruh was established in 1895 as Berliner FC Concordia and is one of the founding clubs of the DFB. First home for the club was the sports field at the Lindauer Straße in Berlin- Reinickendorf. The BFC Concordia played shortly after its founding in association Berliner ball game clubs, in which he frequently commuted between the second and third class, but also briefly played in the first class.

1924 took place after a merger with a previously unknown association renamed in ballgame Concordia Wilhelmsruh. After the war the club was dissolved and re-established as SG Wilhelmsruh. In 1948, the sports group due to the Quadripartite Agreement, again under the name Concordia and played in the Amateur League Berlin. With the division of the Berlin Football Association, the SG Concordia Wilhelmsruh was incorporated in 1950 in the newly created DS league and played in Berlin- Rosenthal. The former second- highest division of the GDR proved for the Concordia as a size too big and followed it up with only four points of the season, immediate relegation. Analogous to the city rivals SG Hohenschonhausen and SG Köpenick also Concordia Wilhelmsruh could never rely on financial support of a support operation, and was not against company sports teams competitive. The only positive side effect of independently operating organization is probably the fact that the present state Concordia Wilhelmsruh next to Fortuna Biesdorf one of the few clubs in the GDR, which has never changed its name. Sporty Wilhelmsruh disappeared following in the lowlands of the Berlin football.

1991 changed its name to FC Concordia Wilhelmsruh was completed. A return to the higher-class Berlin and Brandenburg football so far not succeeded in Concordia. Current Game class is the district league Berlin.
