FC Druzhba Maykop

The FK Druzhba Maikop (Russian ФК « Дружба » Майкоп ) is a Russian football club based in Maikop, the capital of the Russian republic of Adygea. The club was founded in 1963 and now plays in the 2nd Division Football, the third- highest division of Russia.

History

The club was founded in 1963 played during the time of the Soviet Union mainly in the third Soviet league. Immediately after the dissolution of the Soviet Union launched the club in the now neugegründeteten second highest Russian league. During this time also numerous players from the ruined club Dinamo Sukhumi including about Ruslan Adschindschal or Gennadi Timofeyev were recorded. The greatest success of the association was the semi-finals at the Russian Football Cup 1992.

1998 had to take the descent into the Second Division, where to play to this day.
