FC Minerva Lintgen

The FC Minerva Lintgen is a Luxembourgian football club from Lintgen. The club plays its home games at the 1,700 -seat Stade Jean thunder creek.

History

The club was founded in 1910. During the German occupation of Luxembourg in World War II the club FV Lintgen said. In 1944, the return naming FC Minerva.

Minerva Lintgen never played in their history in the National Division. After two seasons in the honorary degree 1953/54 and 1955/56, Minerva managed again only in 2003, the rise in the second highest league in Luxembourg. After two down and immediate re-emergence, the association from 2007 to 2011 could assert in the honor of promotion. Since then, Minerva Lintgen plays in the third-class 1 division.

In the national cup competition Minerva Lintgen reached in 2003/ 04 ( 1:2 against Jeunesse Esch) and 2008/ 09 ( 0-2 against Etzella Ettelbrück ) respectively the knockout stages.
