FC Slavia-Mozyr

The FK - Slawija Mazyr (White Russian Футбольны клуб Славія - Мазыр, Russian Футбольный клуб Славия-Мозырь/FK Slawija - Mosyr ) is a football club from the Belarusian city Mazyr, the current ( 2012 season ) back into the first-class Wyschejschaja Liha ( " highest league " ) plays.

History

The club was founded in 1987 under the name Palesse Mazyr. After the dissolution of the Soviet Union in 1992, the club played in the first Pershaya Liha, the second highest class football in Belarus. 1995, reached the summit in the Wyschejschaja Liha. In the same year was renamed in MPKZ ( Mosyrskij Promyschlenno - Kommertscheskij Tsentr ), three years later in Slavija Mazyr.
