FC Sokol Saratov

PFK Sokol Saratov (Russian Профессиональный футбольный клуб " Сокол " ) is a football club based in the Russian city of Saratov. The club colors are blue and white. The club name is derived from the Russian name of the Hawk: Сокол from.

The greatest successes were the semi-finals of the Soviet Cup (1966 /67) and the Russian League Cup (2000/ 01). In the 2001 season the club played its first match in the newly created Premjer League. However, the club did not last in the league and entered after the first season again. 2005, the club from the Russian 1st Division has descended. Instead of playing in the second division, the club decided to play in the amateur league. In 2006, however, the club was promoted to the third-class 2nd Division, Group Ural Povolzhye, where we achieved 12 out of 14 of the league in 2007.
