FC Volga Tver

The FK Volga Tver (Russian ФК Волга Тверь ) is a football club established in 1957 from the Russian city of Tver. The club has been playing the re-emergence in 2003 of the 2nd Division.

History

The club has been founded in 1957 as the Volga Kalinin and played from 1958 to 1991 continuously in the respective third Soviet league in 1963 but it rose as a master of Russian seasons of the Class B (3rd League ) in the A2 class, the second EU-wide league on, but always played there against relegation, which took place after the 1970 season. In 1975 the club won the then unterklassigen Cup of the Russian SFSR. In 1990, the Association changed under the renaming of its home city its name in Volga Tver. Two years later the club from the city of Tver was sold to an investor. This gave the club the name Trion -Volga Tver ( Трион - Волга Тверь ). From now on, the team played in the newly established second Russian league, the 1st Division, but rose as Last immediately. After descending into the briefly existing fourth Russian semi-professional league (3rd League ), the city of Tver bought the club back in 1996 and made the name change; as a relay runner also managed the immediate resurgence.

1999 could not be managed to avoid relegation and the club for club founded rose for the first time from the ( semi-) professional range in the pure amateur from. After four years in the amateur league, Season Golden Ring, 2003 managed to rise again in the third Russian League, 2nd Division - Season West, participates in the operation of the Club game to date.

Stadium

Play their home games from the FK Volga Tver built in 1955 Chimik Stadium. The stadium has a capacity of 7,680 seats, of which 4,000 seats are. It has natural grass and was reopened after extensive renovations in 2004.
