Fedele Fischetti

Fedele Fischetti ( born March 30, 1732 in Naples, † January 25, 1792 ) was an Italian painter of classicism in Naples.

Life

Fischetti was a painter of mythological and allegorical subjects. He received his education, according to Thieme-Becker at the little-known painter Gennaro Borrello. The lifetime because of its naturalistic oriented images extremely valuable painting worked for numerous church and aristocratic clients as well as for the royal court of the Bourbons in Naples. In 1767 he was appointed by Pietro Duranti as design draftsman at the royal tapestry, where he worked with Giuseppe Bonito. One of his students was the painter Raffaele Gioia ( 1757-1805 ).

  • Palace of Caserta: decorating individual rooms, including the bedroom of Queen Maria Carolina with " Three Graces " and frescoes "Four Seasons" in the Sala dell'estate ( with Paolo Fabris and Antonio Dominici )

  • Chiesa di Santa Caterina da Siena ( Naples): table image " Glory of Saint Catherine of Siena ", as well as frescoes in the lunettes
