Fédération Française de Tennis

The Fédération Française de Tennis, short FFT (French "French Tennis Federation " ) is the governing body for all French clubs in tennis. The association was originally founded under the name Fédération Française de Lawn Tennis and in 1976 the name was changed to its present. The association is headquartered at the Stade Roland Garros in Paris. He is recognized by the world of tennis federation and the French Ministry of Sport and covers approximately 8300 clubs with about 1.1 million members. The President of the Association since 2009, Jean Gachassin. The scope of duties of the FFT is the promotion and organization of tennis in France, in the coordination and support of the tennis club, the management of the French tennis team in Davis Cup and Fed Cup and the organization of the tennis competitions such as the French Open.
