Federico Moccia

Federico Moccia ( born July 20, 1963 in Rome ) is an Italian writer, film director and screenwriter. His love novels enjoy cult status among Italian youth. The custom to fasten at the Milvian Bridge in Rome as a vow of love padlocks ( " Love Locks " ), was popularized by Moccias book Ho voglia di te.

Moccias books have been translated into several languages, including German, English and Spanish. Some were filmed but not shown in Germany. Moccias fourth book, Cercasi Niki disperatamente is, have been published only in Italian.

Moccia tried his hand as the son of director and screenwriter Giuseppe Moccia also the director and screenwriter of some movies, regularly since 2008. In 1982, he worked as an assistant director on a film; later he worked for television before he directed movies.
