Feisnitz

The Feisnitz is a right tributary of the Röslau in the Bavarian Fichtelgebirge. The Slavic name with the interpretation of clear water appeared in a document in 1419 as a hard Ritz, later than Feustritz or Feußnitz. The water is rich in iron leading to the upper reaches due to the iron ore rocks in the source area. There are also the deserted village of Forchheim and a weir.

Headwaters

The Feisnitz has two source streams, the carbon in the forest on Výhledy ( German: Oberkunreuthberg ) springing Krebsbach and the springing near the hazel brats Ruderbach.

Course

The Krebsbach joins after a short course at Green Mill with the smaller Ruderbach to Feisnitz. These flows on the southern edge of the forest carbon in a westerly direction and flows according to their accumulation in Feisnitz Reservoir at Seußen in the Röslau. The Feisnitz is in the range of Seedorf and saints ford Grenzbach between Upper Franconia and the Upper Palatinate.

Use

The Feisnitz is used economically mills and fisheries.
