The Feldalphorn, also Feldalpenhorn, is a 1923 m above sea level. A. high mountain in the Kitzbühel Alps in Tyrol, Austria.

Location

The Feldalphorn is part of a ridge which separates from the Kelchsau in the east the valley of Wildschönau in the West. Neighboring mountain to the south is the 1980 m high Schwaiberghorn, to the north, the ridge continues to the 1,648 m high Turmkogel. The timberline is located at Feldalphorn at about 1700 m, the mountain of meadows is marked above. The slopes are relatively gentle uphill.

Way to the summit

The Feldalpenhorn is a relatively easy hiking mountain. The forest road going to the Wildschönauer side to the lower Prädastenalm to 1320 m. From there a marked trail from the northwest leads to the summit. Also, over the ridge from Turmkogel and the comb from Schwaiberghorn of marked hiking trails, as well as from the east Kelchsau.

In addition, the Feldalphorn is a popular ski touring. The increase of the Wild Schönau is considered relatively safe from avalanches. From the valley, the Schwarzenau, about 1000 meters to be overcome. The rise time is approximately 2.5 hours.
