The Feldberg Pass is 1231.3 m above sea level. History

The first discussions about the construction of a road over the mountain took place in the field meadow valley around 1840. After 1912, the municipality Barental had been obliged to make a contribution, started in 1913, work that led to a broadening of 33%, and to reduce the average slope of 10.3 to 7.85%. Traffic

The busy -pass road is a section of the B 317 and connects Todtnau in the meadow valley with Titisee-Neustadt.
