Feldolling

Feldolling is a municipality in the district of Feldkirchen- Westerham Rosenheim.

Geography

The parish village is situated at an altitude of 543.5 m above sea level. NN, its population is 929 (as of 31 December 2004). Feldolling is located on the Mangfall and is divided by the railway line the Mangfalltalbahn into two halves.

Transport links

A railway stop has long been planned, but was - not yet implemented - According to Deutsche Bahn AG for financial reasons. The only access to public transport is given by the RVO bus lines 9581 and 9582 from Bad Aibling to Aying.

Flood protection measures

Feldolling plays in the planning of flood protection measures at the Mangfall an important role, as at the southeastern edge of the village a page polder is planned that will intercept flood peaks. Currently, this proposed action is in the public Feldollings controversial because, among other effects on the groundwater levels are not resolved: When Pentecost flood in 1999 and in other years, the water table rose to the extent that cellars were flooded, particularly in the southern, deeper part of the town. With the flooding of a polder side of the water table is likely to come under further pressure and therefore endanger the place in addition.
