Félix Rienth

Felix Rienth (* June 24, 1970 in Basel ) is a Swiss concert singer in the vocal range Tenor.

Life

Felix Rienth received his first vocal training as a boy soprano in the Knabenkantorei Basel and debuted as the " first boy " in Mozart's " Magic Flute" at the Theater Basel under Armin Jordan. After Matur he began a German and Hispanistikstudium at the University of Basel, before he turned the whole song. When Heidi Wölnerhanssen in Basel, he completed his vocal studies, which he completed with the Opera Diploma at Swiss Opera Studio of the Academy of Music Bern. As winners of the Lucerne " Foundation for young music talents " he gave a concert aria with the Lucerne Symphony Orchestra. The tenor sings the great oratorios in Switzerland and throughout Europe. He was invited to the Cologne Philharmonic, the Mozarteum Hall Salzburg, Graz Stefaniensaal, to Dusseldorf, Brussels, Munich, Palma de Mallorca and in the great concert halls of Switzerland (such as the Victoria Hall in Geneva, Tonhalle Zurich, City Casino Basel). He sang as a guest at major festivals Ambronay, Paris, Ghent, Lisbon, Granada, at the Expo 2008 in Zaragoza and was taken up by various European broadcasters. He has worked with the leading Swiss choral conductors, as well as with specialists in old music, like Eduardo Lopez Banzo, Gabriel Garrido and Frans Brüggen. In the presence of Her Majesty Queen Fabiola of Belgium in 2008, he gave a Baroque recital in Motril - Granada (Spain). From his discography with a focus on early music, is the recording of the solo cantatas of the Catalans Francesc Valls, who was awarded the Dutch " Prelude Classical Music Award 2007 " as best baroque album of the year, especially noteworthy. For Handel 2009 appeared a highly acclaimed by the international press recording of the tenor cantatas by Johann Christoph Pepusch with the baroque ensemble La Tempesta Basel. 2011 followed a highly acclaimed recital CD with José Marín's Spanish Baroque Songs " Tonos humanos ".

Felix Rienth is married to the recorder player Muriel Rochat Rienth and lives in Basel.
